Red Wings prospects at Team Canada WJ camp

hey guys i just found out that the World Junior development camp is in ottawa this week. i was wondering if anyone knows if we have any prospects who were invited? i would like to know who i should keep an eye on.

Brendan Smith is all I would think.

I looked at the invitees yesterday and Smith was the only Red Wing invited.

Smith will make it this year... He got the boot last year, but since then has been playing college hockey and just developed more. Hope the best for him.

don;t count on it. They;res 17 defensive prospects there and only 7 spots available. With Doughty, Schenn, etc there as well you can pretty muchn say only 3 or so slots are really open.

Smith also had a serious back injury last year and missed most of the season.

That is true... Zach Bogosian too, but one of the two guys might have an NHL role, people were saying they're both NHL ready. Doesn't make them ineligible, but players do put the NHL as first priority. I do recall Smith making the final cut last year though, so he has a decent chance.

yeah i looked it up to see who would be there when i had the time and smith is on the roster.
