Stu Barnes Retires

I always like Stu Barnes, not so much that I was begging Kenny to get it done, but respected his game!

Good for him and good for the stars, I think the more former players you put in your front office the easier it is to have a rapport with the players. If you have guys who have been in the grind the current players you have will respect that, as oppossed to having a bunch of non hockey players. But I could be completely wrong!

I liked Stu Barnes. Years ago I often confused his picture with Brent Gilchrist's.

I most remember him for his leadership in Buffalo's near cup win, and contribution to the Pens with Jagr/Francis/Lang.

Always been a big fan of Barnes myself. Living in Dallas, I can tell you he's a fan favorite here with the Stars and for good reason. Hard-working, down-to-earth player that produces and brings a lot of grit.

agreed, he will be missed on the team, but at least he's sticking around. I was a big fan of his in Buffalo and saw the same even, solid, work-ethic with the Stars. Good man, Stu!
