lets go pavel 2 Report post Posted August 30, 2008 BUT, i am more than fed up with players retiring then un retiring. Salanne, Neidermeyer, Jordan, Seau, Favre. Jesus where does it end. I'm not sure I would lump Jesus in with those other guys ... technically he didn't unretire, he was resurrected!

Guest LivingtheDream Report post Posted September 1, 2008 If this is true, the boy who cried wolf has gone too far this time. He's starting to remind me of a punch drunk boxer who doesn't know when to stop. Problem is, he's not that good anymore, and ended the last 2 seasons with nothing left to give. You are right. Unlike Osgood who has adapted his style as he has gotten older, Dom is still trying to be Dom and that relies on super quick reflexes and amazing physical dexterity. He is obviously one of the greatest goalies ever and probably the most unique and if he wants to flip flop on decisions, that's fine, problem is he can no longer flip flop on the ice as well as he used to. Has Dom lost a step? Yes Is he still a good goalie? Yes If Dom wants to keep playing in some other capacity or even in the NHL because he enjoys the game that's fine. As long as there is a team who sees value in him and as long as he wants to play then why shouldn't he? I think Dom was ready to go home and he saw that this was Osgood team now, but that doesn't mean he's never allowed to play hockey again. If we wants to give the KHL a shot why should it bother anyone?
