Doc Holiday 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2008 The question at hand isn't based off hypotheticals and as Imisssergei said it's a cop-out basing your decision on waiting and seeing what happens. Who would you rather have, Hossa or Franzen? Again, the answer is simple. Hossa. And again, as I said 3-4 pages back, THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT SAY FRANZEN IS PEOPLE AT LETSGOWINGS.COM. Why? Because they are homers and just don't know any better. If Kenny Holland would take Franzen over Hossa he would be criticized relentlessly. You don't take a Franzen type of player before Hossa. Hossa is a franchise player. People say Franzen based on variables which change the way the season is going to play out. If you don't want people to discuss that then the thread should be changed to "who is the better player" because your want for a specific player is based on a variety of factors and not just skill. Hossa is the better player. That isn't a question. However I am not expecting Holland to sign a deal with him next year due to his salary and the needs of other players on his team, unless pay cuts are taken or specific players bomb or a couple of other factors. Notice the "-s" on guys. That means plural. That means Z and someone else. As big of a Hudler slappy as I am, I'm not deluding myself to believe that 'Stein was giving lil' Jiri a shoutout here.
