Damn, I Feel Bad For the Leafs...

These are the same people that have had to live all summer with "Jeff Finger, $3.5 million a year." You can hardly blame them if their idea of a good player has been thrown out of whack over the years.

That said, Boyd's not that bad. He's just not that good. As long as Leafs fans don't get real used to that first picture of him with the Cup, they should be OK.

It just goes to show that one man's trash is another man's treasure. (Maybe notACTUALLY trash, I can't hate on him that bad... he was a Wing at one time).

Either way, it just shows you how he wasn't that good here and didn't really do alot, but we trained him and gave him a solid work ethic and he's thriving on another team. He went from invisible here to being a standout in Toronto. If anything, good for him.

Have fun with our leftovers, Toronto!

I'm not sure if this person is serious or not, but assuming he/she is, he/she is obviously in the minority. The guy is a decent player, but by no means a standout in Toronto. In the 2006/07 year he was part-time between the Leafs and their minor league team. He's a fringe guy, he's getting paid $575k (cap hit), so I doubt anyone is truly gushing over the guy.

If you read the whole thread, the OP goes on to say that he/she wasn't being serious.

In all likelyhood, Devereaux either won't make the Leafs or he'll just be the 13th forward.
