Penky26 2 Report post Posted October 5, 2008 Does anyone have a schedule of events for the season opener? When the ceremony starts, etc.? Thanks in advance
19Hockeytown5 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2008 Yeah, I was curious about this too. My ticket says 8:00 pm (puck drop). I'm assuming the banner ceremony starts at 7pm and I should get there by 6:30 (I'm coming from Saginaw)

hockeytown9321 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2008 Yeah, I'm highly confused here. I've seen lots of different information. I called the Red Wings media relations dept. on Friday, they said the game starts at 7:00 pm(probably more like 7:15 due to being a VS. game) He said the doors would open at 5:30, if not 5:00. The pregame stuff should last about 15 minutes. And they just had a commercial on VS. that their coverage starts at 6:30, so I'd think its a 7pm start. Huh I thought I saw somewhere the game was starting at 8pm. But if media relations said that I would believe that over anything else.

Yeah, I think if you're going, its best to be on the safe side and assume its a 7pm start. I'd be in the rink no later than 6:45 for the banner raising.
