Quincey to be traded

You don't have to believe me. You can wait and see tomorrow

obviously none of us know if/when this will happen for sure...especially with Chelios hurt now. But, I do believe the writing is on the wall that Quincey is the odd man out. Babcock has already said that Lilja - Lebda will start as his 3rd d-pair. They are also talking about starting with only 12 forwards. Meech played some forward last season, he makes more sense to keep around.

I think Lebda could find himself on the way out next year if he's not careful. I find it hard to believe Ericsson won't be in the lineup next year...if not later this year if the brass decides he belongs.

If this is true, I'll be pissed off. You cant evaluate a player after a couple exibition games IMO. Give him a couple games in the regular season and see how he plays. BTW, he and and Ericsson had a great game against Buffalo, so why deal him after his best game? I just dont get it.

I'm glad I gave you guys some humor. It's my opinion and I'll stick with it. Always been a fan and impressed with Quincey.

Don't worry, I agree. As I posted over at HFBoards, Meech might have the highest upside of the 3 (Meech, Lebda, Quincey) but I would still take Quincey of the lot. He has size, is pretty solid defensively (should be a given I know) and he will dish out some hits. He's starting to fight now and he can provide the odd offensive production. His AHL rookie season is still probably his best year to date in professional ranks, and it's a bit of a puzzle as to why he hasn't developed much thereafter. But he's still only 23 and given the impressive tools he has, he could potentially be a 4th/5th defenceman down the track IMO. I still haven't given up on him.

If that was really the truth, then Q/Meech would be the third pairing on defense Thursday night. Lilja is far superior over Quincey - it's not even debateable. I would like to see Meech over Lebda, but they are essentially the same player.

Please provide some evidence on when Lilja and Lebda "stink it up".

Please watch a game without the red blinders on and you'll see them....Lilja is not superior to anyone, hes the worst defenseman on the roster...He was resigned because Holland went into panic mode when Stuart didnt resign at midnight of the first day of free agency...

Wow, what an extreme overexaggeration. Lilja is better than Lebda easily, so how can he be the worst defenseman on the roster? Not to mention, Lilja is also better than Chelios, Meech, and Quincey. So basically, Lilja is the fifth best defenseman on the team, which is exactly where he will be playing. Once again, if your theory was accurate, why didn't all of the players you think are better than Lilja win a job on the third pairing? It's because none of them are better than Lilja right now.

I don't have red blinders on. I actually just used some common sense, which clearly has evaded you in this argument.

I got some insider news

Quincey will be traded tomorrow.

Don't ask me any questions, I don't know anything other than that. All I can say is that my source is very reliable.

Quincey is still here, and the date is October 8th. Nice source buddy.
