So many good games tonight. Some notables from the games I've been watching on HockeyStreams:

- Voracek joins Kulemin scoring his first goal in the first game of the season.

- Mike Green looks like Bobby Orr with 2 quick goals for Washington in less than a minute.

- Dubinsky, Zherdev, Voros line for NYR is the best line I have seen so far. They have combined for 3 goals and 4 asssists for 7 points in the game tonight against Chicago. They play really well together and are all physical.

- Huet and Theodore look terrible in their debuts (Theodore got pulled midway through the 2nd).

- Commodore owned Avery in his first period as a Blue Jacket.

- Atlanta actually looks suprisingly decent, they are tied 4-4 with Washington right now (Kozlov still looking good with a nice goal).

- Lang scored the first goal of the season for Montreal (haha).

Nash wins it for the BJ's in OT (5-4).

Brassard - Voracek are going to be amazing together in the future I have a feeling. Brassard had a goal and Voracek had a goal and an assists (playing on the 4th line together with Jason Chimera).

It's only 1 game into the season for everyone in the Central, but who thought they would ever be able to say, "Its the Blue Jackets and Blues on top of the Central".

I know they always seem to pull through but i just dont know how either the blues, bjs,, or hawks aren't gonna overtake smashville

I think CBJ and Chicago are both going to overtake Nashville this year. St. Louis has some injury problems so I kinda doubt that they will.

So, I watched the WSH/ATL game last night and if someone told me going into it that 11 goals would be scored, but none would be scored by either Ovechkin or Kovalchuk, I would have said they were lying. In fact, the only point between the two was an assist for Kovalchuk.

Not sure how to assess WSH at this piont, part of me is saying that their goaltending just stuck it up and they didn't play that bad, but if their goaltending is always this bad then they are toast. One thing is for sure, they do have some offensive weapons beyond Ovechkin and they will get some goals. Keeping it out of their net will be the problem.

so between thursday and friday, the Wings, Habs, Stars, Ducks, Hawks, and Caps all lose. Including Tampa, and Pittsburgh earlier on.

Isn't it funny that these teams were pretty much the ones consistently talked about in the off season, excluding a few. just funny to me I guess.

the wings will get it done tonight though.

Big time play to end it in OT for the Devs tonight in Pittsburgh. Zajac lifted the puck up the ice and let Parise try to make a play, and he delivered on Fleury, who was impenetrable all game.

Marty is 12 wins away from the record now too
