Lebda worst in the NHL

But other than that, I think he brings a lot to the table. :D

I know it wouldn't happen, but at this point I'd love to see Ericsson in Lebda's spot. How much worse could the kid do?

Ive caught so much heat on this site from saying for so long that Lebda is garbage....I think Chelios being paired with Lebda was part of why it wasn't so obvious....

There's such a thing as a slump, and making a knee-jerk replacement after ten games isn't the best of ideas.

This isn't a slump, its gone on for a couple of years now. He just is paired with another pilon who isn't very good in his own right...

Quincey was terrible in the pre-season and useless ever since he play in the 07 playoffs. He had PLENTY of chances to show the coaching staff what he could do and he couldn't.

At the end of the day, its not about who is better than who in an abstract sense, its about who fits better with the Wings, their system, their style of play, etc. Quincey was clearly not better than Lebda for the Wings if the Wings brass didn't think so. This is a team that gave everybody a chance to earn their spot, and theres no team better at determining whats best for their team than the Wings.

Not really, he had a couple of bad things go on in the pre season games, and the Wings management was happy with his play at Grand Rapids. He just was let go because Meech can play forward... Quincey is better than Lebda, unfortunate for the Wings he gets to show it elsewhere. Lebda's days as a full time player are numbered

It went down more like this:

Quincey didn't outplay Lilja or Chelios, or Meech.

Lilja's cap hit prevented the Wings from carrying 23 players.

Meech can also play forward.

Babcock preferred Lebda to start the season because Lebda had been with the team.

This left Quincey, rightfully or wrongfully, at the bottom of the pile.

I would like to see Meetch get a few games in place of Lebda and see what happens.

Me too. Lebda sucks, he is a figure-skater with pads.
