The Pittsburgh Penguins...

Die hard fans of every team, I don't care what team you root for, will reach deep into the cookie jar to figure out reasons how their team isn't getting respect, they are biased against my team, they are sucking up to the other team, etc. etc. I will guarantee you that Pitt fans were probably thinking that VS annoucers were giving the Wings too much credit and stuff. And it'll happen in the next national broadcast on VS or NBC, and the one after that, and so on, and so forth, regardless of the teams playing. Which is a major reason why I don't put much emphasis on what broadcasters say and just watch the game.

You are very wise. I agree 100%.

How about them showing athe stupid Godard hit hen start was already falling backwards and not Stuart's huge hits? I like to make hit compilations and VS isn't helping me in that regard. Or howabout the word crosby being said every other sentance. If you think the flyers announcers are bad (which they are) the pens announcers are the worst, not only is the play by play guy boring and uninspired, one time i heard him say " crosby comes onto the ice" "malkin and crosby into the zone" "here's sid' "Sidney crosby" "Aw, crosby shoots wide" in that sequence nothing in between.

I was pretty irritated on how every time Crosby touched the puck the level of excitement in their voices would almost make one think they were nearing the end of a sexual excursion. Still I had the option of turning the sound down and turning up the radio. Unfortunately, the satellite feeds were off a bit. My wife says I have selective hearing. Maybe I should try using that when watching a game on VS.

I was playing a drinking game with my firends... everytime the VS. boys said 'Crosby' we had to drink. Needless to say we had to make another beer run during the first commercial break of the game.

This Crosby man-loving is disproportionate to his actual accomplishments. Then they show Zetterburg as if to compensate for 'the other team' on the ice. Sometimes they even allowed Zetts to share a split-screen with Jesus Crosby just to prove how humble THE NEXT ONE really is.

(cough I remember the Lindros Epic Fail cough cough)

Funny you mention that name... I was calling Zeta Jesus all night because the guy a few seats down kept yelling JUDAS JUDAS to Hossa every time he stepped on the ice. I figured since we had Judas and Satan on the ice at the same time... might as well dub someone Jesus as well. But thinking back Judas and Jesus were together at first... so maybe Crosby should have been jesus... idk it was funny as hell though.

"you can't fault Judas for leaving dude... he just wants to win the cup!"

Just noticed something today, which I kinda expected: NHL.com has a link to "revisit the Stanley Cup rematch" and "Look back at the incredible comeback by the Penguins this past Tuesday." and of course every All-Star voting commercial isn't complete without a Crosby clip and text your favorite player "Crosby" to such-and-such. No Wings clips tho and I don't remember any Habs clips either strangely enough, could be wrong.

I was actually cracking up leaving the arena on tuesday.... It was funny as hell... they beat us when absolutely nothing was at stake at all.. in fact they only gained 1 point on us after this game

Just goes to show you, any one team can beat any other team in one game.... it takes a real champion to closeout the series!
