Did the Wings screw this up or is it too early to tell?

I didn't say my projection, I just said I wouldn't be surprised. If the Kings can stay healthy he absolutly can put up those numbers. Why don't you add that to your sig too.

So you "wouldn't be surpised" but aren't willing to put it on the line? Well I put it on the line. I am betting his numbers will be as I stated. I'm pretty confident about what I say.

s*** or get off the pot.

Dude, you're not betting on anything. Nothing is on the line, you've just made some random guess. That doesn't make you a big man. Putting fifty on it does.

NOTHING is on the line? Oh, I beg to differ my insolent friend. CHEST-POUNDING PRIDE! Is most certainly on the line. Being able to say "I told you so, nanny, nanny, boo-boo!" Is on the line. Being able to say "look, I was right and you were wrong and that makes you a 'tard!" That too is on the line. This is not some trivial message board my doggy-style loving friend. Dammit man! This is INTERNET SUPREMACY we're fighting for here.

PS: Fifty is what I tip my blackjack dealer after a really good shoe or what you wipe your ass with when you run out of TP. Now a straight G on the line. That makes you a gambler in my book.

I was in favor of Holland trading whomever out of Lebda, Meech or Quincey that he could have gotten the most out of - Lebda would have been my guess, given a successful Stanley Cup run. It sucks that Quincey has proven so valuable to them, and the Wings got nothing out of it.

Different situations completely. Quincey was never going to play 20 minutes per game with the Red Wings, so his stats would have never looked like they do with the Kings. It's the best opportunity for Quincey because the sixth defenseman with the Red Wings is just keeping Ericsson's seat warm anyways.

I don't really have any problem with losing Quincey. The fact is Quincey had a chance to make the team during training camp/pre-season and was outplayed by everyone else competing for a roster spot. Having depth on defense is never a bad thing. I don't see a likely scenario where Quincey had a future with the Red Wings either. Rafalski, Stuart, and Kronwall all have lengthy deals and Ericsson, Kindl, Smith, and Pyett are going to play eventually.

I am glad everything has worked out for Q in LA, but I am not losing sleep at night that he isn't with the Red Wings anymore.

I agree with everything above, and would actually add one more thing.

I think the fact that he is playing so well in L.A. should make Wings management feel even better about there current team, scouting, and player development. Sure it sucks they lost him for nothing, but Kyle deserved a chance to actually play. It should also make L.A. feel like a second rate franchise that a 7th or 8th d-man on a winner can play top pairing minutes for them.

I didn't realize this was the official Kyle Quincy crystal ball discussion. I don't remember saying that I would stone cold lock anything. If what I say isn't enough of "putting it on the line" for you, then ignore all of my posts. s*** or get off the pot? You talk like there is a bet or something. I stand by what I said, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I don't mind Quincey leaving us, I live with one of his friends and she says he's had a horrible attitude since winning the cup (did he even get his name on it?)

But I'm glad he's showing that he is still a decent player, woulda been a year or two before he made it to the Wings roster, look at Howard who's still waiting in GR.

I support Holland in every move, he never seems to lose his cool, and we still have a solid team building in the AHL.
