Exactly. I love when people defend Crosby by saying he gets him more than he should. Its PROFESSIONAL HOCKEY, not midgets or bantum where is a check looks too hard Crosby's team gets a powerplay and extra orange slices. How many times have you seen exactly what is in CrossoverThrash's video: Crosby receives a good hockey hit and instead of taking it and getting back in the play and maybe looking to even it out later (ala Datsyuk 5'11" 194lb on Chara 6'9" 255lb), he bellyaches first to the player then to the ref, and then the next time he is off the ice him and Therrien are both right against the wall and the partition bitching their lungs out to the ref.

I love the Wings because they may not be big on the fisticuffs but they focus on their game and instead of bitching they would rather take a hit and then look for another later. Same with Babcock. Last finals made me appreciate the Wings even more because while Therrien whines relentlessly, Babcock would tell it like it is and focus more on the Wings not playing good enough to win, and we can all agree the Wings were getting the s***-end of every soft call the refs were throwing in the finals.

PS: Way to get last nights hit from Pav on there. Loved it, Lidstrom stops him right on the train tracks and Pavel lowers the boom.

Another thing about Crosby... Now, I can't say for certain as to the validity of this because A) I heard it on the radio, thus I didn't see it and B) It was the Ottawa radio feed.

They described a "vicious two-handed chop to the ankle" of an Ottawa player that had just nudged him (and Crosby was subsequently penalized, with Matt Cooke whining to the ref questioning why a penalty was called).

Did anyone watch the Pens/Sens game yesterday? Was it really a "vicious two-handed chop to the ankle"? And if so...has Crosby frustrations manifested in an attempt to injure? Personally, while I think he's a whiny little *****, I can't honestly believe that he'd go so far as to begin taking the Pronger route. But the way it was described on the Ottawa broadcast made me curious as to what exactly happened.

i dk, think of body size, ribero's size, how hit head just snaps back, how he nails the boards, and boogaard falls on top of him when they hit the ice, maybe not as hard you could say but perhaps more devastating. Backes's hit on Visnovsky looked pretty damn devastating.

Thats what hockey is all about though. Guys like Pavel Datsyuk and Kris Draper (of yore), among others, prove time and time again that being small doesn't mean you have to fight back with tears every time you get hit.

I think Crosby is an incredible talent, but I don't think he realizes how much more respect he'd get from the fans if he just shut up and instead gave it right back to the players who give it to him. And not through cheap slashes either. That was ridiculous. If you get hit, push back. Don't go for a low chop to the ankle.

I'm not like most on here who have a flaming hatred towards Crosby. I really don't like how the League will only promote him and no one else (but that's not his doing), and I really can't stand Therrien and his constant bitching (which I think is a direct correlation to Crosby now being a whinny *****) but after watching the slash on Heatly but more specifically the way Crosby seems to try and hook his stick right to the side of Otts head (the check along the boards where after that Orpik pulls out Otts legs from him) I'm starting to maybe think the targeting is starting to get to Sid.

Again, I've never been one to hate on the guy but those two plays are not just little cheap shots that always happen in hockey. Just seems like when teams show him extra attention it's really getting to him.

Could you imagine the irony if he really did end up hurting someone as the result from a cheap shot? I wonder if he'd even get suspended?

He didn't complain like Crosby, but even Yzerman throughout his career wouldn't hesitate to use a good old B.C. two-hander on someone if they got the stick up around his face or if he just got sick of being knocked around.
