unkempt 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 I am posting this because I have seen discussions about almost any other line combination imaginable, but nobody has (to my knowledge) mentioned this one? Why? Why not put Eurotwins back together with Holmstrom or Cleary and Hudler - Franzen - Hossa seems pretty obvious to me that both lines would have size, speed, skill, everything ... Actually eva suggested it in the Red Wings Shuffle Line Combos, Defense Pairs thread, only with Huddles at center.
T.Low 1,011 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII LIKE IT! Could be good. Do you think Hudler is kind of a Mini Me Hossa, though? But you almost can't go wrong with those six, as long as Holmer and Franzen are split up.
Statts 4 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 Only issue I see is Hudlers lack of speed.

YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 Only issue I see is Hudlers lack of speed. Because its been an issue playing with the likes of Draper, Helm, Filppula, and Cleary?
unkempt 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 Now that I think of it, it could even be Hudler - Fill - Hossa and leave Franzen for the third line to spread the talent somewhat. ------------------- And BTW, I know that it is completely off topic: He-is-lazy-and-he-sucks has just scored two goals against Calgary
MaynardJKeenan 1 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 (edited) Hudler is only good in small (no pun intended) doses, kind of like Larry Murphy in broadcasting. Edit: Actually, the pun was intended, sorry. Edited December 10, 2008 by MaynardJKeenan

Hudler centering Hossa and one of Cleary or Franzen is what I asked for as the second line before the preseason started if Dats and Hank were together. It seemed like a no-brainer to me. eva unit zero 271 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 Only issue I see is Hudlers lack of speed. Does anyone have an .avi of Hudler's breakaway goal the other day where he outraced two defenders and scored a beauty starting from damn near center ice? Too slow my ASS. CanadaBoy 151 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 Me and Eva mentioned it in the shuffle line combo thread. http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=1495684 I was wondering, if we had Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Hudler-Franzen-Hossa Then should the next two lines be: Cleary-Filppula-Samuelsson Kopecky-Draper-Maltby Or should some players from the Griffins be brought up? Bring up somebody for sure. The logic is obvious - since next season we lose some of our current players for sure, any extra experience we can provide to our youth is more than welcome. And an 18-4-4 record give you more than enough space for a bit of (failed) experimenting.

The Mule 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 *cap space Precisely. If it were that easy to call up the likes of Helm, Leino, Abdelkader, and Ericsson, they would be here already. We have a great roster, but it's a bit unfortunate how little breathing room we have.

Then send Lidstrom and Hossa down for a conditioning stint! :-D /pls. disregard waivers, one-way, etc - insanity intended/ Edited December 10, 2008 by unkempt
