He ridic. hot and his value will never be higher than it is right now. We aren't going to have the money to re-sign him next year... and Babs doesnt like him. He won't even play him on top 2 lines besides like 5 games at the beginning of the year. I say trade him now... for a goalie. Maybe something like Huds+Cleary for Vokoun. I know he's struggling but he's still a top 10 goalie IMO and anderson is playing great. Maybe even Huds for Roloson? Fernandez? What do u guys think? Like I said i love Hudler... just dont wanna see us lose him for nothing... ecspecially when our D/goaltending is struggling. edit: wasn't aware of how much Vokoun made... i guess we'd have to throw flip in there too..... I disagree. Huds trade value is far less then his actual value to the team. I am not sure wether or not Babs dislikes him and i think that does not hold enough water. Hudler is a great player and will never demand much money. I say that Hudler is worth keeping almost souly on his value in the locker room. Bottom line is if you wish to get a good goalie with Hudler it won't happen. Noone will trade someone that can contribute to this team like he does. Your logic is all messed up. You just pointed out exactly why this is an awful idea. Vokoun struggling. Has not done well since leaving Nashville and Hudler is 4th in scoring. I think he would be great on the wings... and I think that hudler doesn't have much of a future in Detroit and could fourish in FLA much like Quincey did when given a shot w/ real minutes on a lesser team... but i suppose we just have different opinions. If I were Holland, I would be scouring Europe right now for any under-the-radar young goalie super talent to bring asap, and/or doing whatever I can to trade Conklin to be able to bring up Larsson or Howard ... If I were Holland, I would be scouring Europe right now for any under-the-radar young goalie super talent to bring asap, and/or doing whatever I can to trade Conklin to be able to bring up Larsson or Howard ... there will not be a magic goalie to pick up our season. if there was an under-the-radar goalie floating around in europe he would have been picked up by some team a long time ago. we have the talent, and we just need to tighten up our d and get our goalies playing better. both ozzie and conklin know they can and can play better, and i believe they will. ozzie showed his value in last years' playoff run. conk showed his value with pitts in the middle of last season. our d demonstrated its dominance throughout last years' playoffs. WE DO NOT NEED NEW PLAYERS. we just need the ones we have to play their game. ozzie made big saves in the shootout tonight, and, at the end of the day, won us the game. so step the f*** off. we'll be fine.
