Andy Pred 48 337 Report post Posted December 23, 2008 With both Stafford and Ericsson out and now PJ Atherton sidelined, the Griffs played Oulahen on the D last night. Would it not be possable for the Wings to send Meech or Chelios down to help out for a few games until one of them returns to the lineup or would they have to clear waivers to do so? Apart from that it would give Cheli a few more games to get up to game shape or give Meech some major mins on the D which would benefit him as well. Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted December 23, 2008 Sending anyone down to GR would mean they'd have to clear waivers (remember Quincey?). Unless I'm mistaken, we don't have any defensemen on the roster with us now that could be sent down without having to go through waivers, and at this point the defensemen we have would not clear waivers, so there's really not much we can do to help.
