Okay.....just for the sake of clarity, you're saying that Conklin "held them in it all game long" in a game where he saw 6 shots in the 1st, (and let in one questionable goal), saw 4 shots in the 2nd, (and none at all after the 67 footer at the ~6 minute mark), and stopped 12 mostly perimeter and bad angle shots, (5 of which were from ~50+ feet out), in the third, while HIS team fired forty eight quality shots at a goaltender, (and a Team), playing on the second night of back to back Games?

You're saying he deserved "at least second star" for holding the Wings in this game, "all game long"?

Oh no, puckloo. Whatever you say...

completely agree.

it was our defense tonight. which is what everyone on this board has been (rightfully) bitching about all season long.

it was good to see the D play solid

Yep, our D has been big in the past few games. But admit it, if Conklin didn't dive out on Vanek, it coulda been 2-0 EASY. That one sequence in the first really jumpstarted the team imho. (The D wasn't even half bad on that play either, bailed him out afterwards)

On to the Stars! cringing at how the week looks though :( 4 games in 6 nights.

oh i admit it. conks played great. made the big saves when he had to, without those few HUGE saves we would have lost.

but he wasnt tested that much, which is what we are used to seeing with the Wings.

our D is what won us the game IMO and Miller is what kept it a close game and not an embarresment.
