Back spasms will keep Zetterberg from Dallas game

Yeah this sounds more precautionary than anything.

One of the biggest luxuries, imo, of being a top-team in the league, is having the availability to sit your top players for "better safe than sorry" reasons, and not having to worry about whether we'll make the playoffs or not.

I agree. It sounds pretty precautionary. Besides, we get Lidstrom and Datsyuk back tomorrow. The Wings should look a lot better.

I agree that it is a precautionary move but I have back issues myself and they can be very tricky. I hope it is only one game that he misses as I'm looking for his play to improve now that the contract is out of the way.

"The Red Wings will be without forwards Henrik Zetterberg (back spasms) and Tomas Holmstrom (groin) for tomorrow’s game against the Washington Capitals. Forward Jiri Hudler (foot) might not be available, either." Per Freep.com

Well maybe it's not so minor. 2 games and counting. Get better soon Z, we really need you!
