steveyzerman 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2009 So every playoff game should be a 6-0 win with a 40-27 shot advantage for the Wings? Does that sound realistic? The way we're getting wins right now is how we'll be getting wins come April. Not 6-0 necessarily. But, 40-27 shots is Red Wings hockey. I'd be happy with 30-25 right now. steveyzerman 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2009 Okay. People still aren't getting it. I can sum it up like this. Yes, we're the best team in the league. But, our team last year could beat our team this year.
lets go pavel 2 Report post Posted February 4, 2009 Okay. People still aren't getting it. I can sum it up like this. Yes, we're the best team in the league. But, our team last year could beat our team this year. Actually, I think we're all getting it. I'm just not sure what you're looking for ... a pat on the back for figuring it out? We're all agreeing that the team isn't playing up to its potential. And? There are probably 20 threads going right now bemoaning different players, coaches, and anything else that crosses people's minds, along with a plethora of solutions, some plausible and some inane. What more could you ask for?
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted February 4, 2009 personally i would rather have less shots and more goals... anybody can fire pucks at the net aimlessly... Watch any OHL games... that might be more your shot style... regularly shots are 63-50.... Quality over quantity, not the other way around
Louisville 112 Report post Posted February 4, 2009 Sounds like a bunch of stoners! esteef Your one liners are killing me lately As for the topic...he's right, it's sickening. Two top six forwards out, one top four defenseman out, and a 5 game losing skid. All I'm asking for is just a little urgency at this point.
SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted February 4, 2009 I'm scared. And in all seriousness, everybody knows not everything is all hunky dory. This team is still making the playoffs, all teams that will be making the playoffs will have stuff to clean up and fix, not just Detroit. Fortunate for Detroit, they are good enough to where they don't have to worry much about missing the playoffs all together and are good enough to where they can usually still win without their best game sometimes. I'll worry in April or May if everything is not fine because things are not always going to be fine in the regular season with this team (or any team), yet this team still makes the playoffs. OsGOD 3 Report post Posted February 4, 2009 The only thing i worry about each year come playoff time is if the wagons shocks and struts are up to snuff... there is so much jumping on and off the bandwagon its not even funny... So yeah I guess things are not fine right now because i can't seem to get an appointment at the dealership until mid may.... I am a bit scared now. Oh well.... after a 2 game win streak everyone complaining will be as giddy as a catholic priest surrounded by choir boys
