SoDakWing 8 Report post Posted February 5, 2009 So my hometown has a team in the United States Hockey League (USHL...duh.lol) but tonight we hosted our second USHL All Star game tonight. The first time we hosted was in 2001 (i think) with our own Thomas Vanek takin MVP honors and we had Mr. Hockey himself give a speech at the banquet and drop the first face off. Well the owner of the team said he was looking to out do himself this year (hard to do when i comes to Mr. Howe) so this year they had the stanley cup at the game. I got free ice level seats from work but honestly I only really wanted to go to see Lord Stanley in all it's glory. Prolly be the only time I'll ever see it in my life and I'm glad I went. And this is the first time the Stanley Cup has ever been to South Dakota, pretty crazy.

And i think those scratches and dents make it even more beautiful. My co-workers didn't really know what it was but had an idea so I had fun tellin em stories about whats happened to it. They actually had suggested to get pictures with it. I think considering it was the only time it's ever been here.

Holmstrom96Screens 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2009 (edited) had my pic taken with that 3 times in my life, 1993, 2002 and 2008. So glad you got to do that for your first time. It never gets old and its an amazing feeling everytime you experience it. I think the cup has this sort of spellbinding aura....practically glows with its own silver light. So amazingly beautiful. I love Stanley! Edited February 5, 2009 by Holmstrom96Screens

But naturally I refused Well yeah I woulda refused as well considering the circumstances. Lol. I will have to admit I hated seeing the Ducks under the 2006-2007 section.
