Just read this myself.

Is anyone honestly surprised?

This s*** is really a culture of certain sports and particularly baseball. I can understand the desire to win and accomplish things I just don't quite understand why they would overlook the effects this s*** has on their bodies in the long run.

Maybe they are taking a cue from politics in the US where cheaters win.

I think it's a little surprising just beacuse A-rod has always had a consistent career. It's not like he pulled a Bonds and hit 72 all of a sudden and balloned into a body builder with no neck. A-rod has always been good for 30-40 HR's a year with 100 or so RBI's and slowly developed physically. In the end I guess it was a false sense of hope in that many baseball fans like myself wanted to see someone, who had a chance and thought to be clean, break the home run record set by bonds who I think we all know used performance enhancing drugs. No one wanted to see Bonds keep the record and if A-rod or someone like Griffey broke it, it could restore some credibility back to baseball. That doesn't seem to the be the case anymore.

don't forget that key word ALLEGEDLY. I don't think anyone will flat out admit it, even tho we have a good idea what happened.

Oh and don't forget that roids weren't illegal in 2003, it wasn't a banned substance until 2004.
