Since I've had the unfortunate labeling of a flamer, which is definitely not something I was after, I'll sign out here and let y'all take over. Before I resign, though, I'll say that Hossa better be glad he didn't tangle with Weber. Weber just took Lilja's ass and handed it to him

f*** this s***. I turned the game off after the 7th goal went in but before the red light turned off.

If this blow out doesn't embarass our defense into playing somewhere in the top ******* 5 D's in the league it's going to be a short playoffs.

And for all the 'happy go lucky' motherf***ers who are about to call me chicken little- this team has one of the WORST GAA in the entire league and one of the WORST penalty kills in the entire league. Those are two of the single most important factors in winning the cup.

Well, everyone who said the Wings needed to be thoroughly embarrassed to shatter the false sense of security that they can play bad and win should be satisfied now.

I'm the one who made the thread about that... and I'm not satisfied at all. It hurt too much to watch. Kinda like having a horrible condition and they only way they can save you is for the doctor to reach both their hands in your rectum and kinda poke around for an hour without anesthesia. You know it's necessary but damn it if it ain't brutal at the same time.

It's one game, hopefully this debacle wakes some people up. Not sure why(well I do know why, its in nashville) Weber didn't get the instigator, he was throwing punches before Lilja ever got both gloves off (Not that it would matter, Weber would pound him regardless) But its their Cup, and all the supposed Predator fans are now yelling Cup Champs, blah blah blah...let em, cause when it counts, their team gets knocked out, they've never made it past the first round, never won a road playoff game, but yet they scream the Wings suck (they did tonight) even though its around a 25 point difference in the standings. 99% of those people don't know much about hockey, its just an excuse to drink pints of overpriced watered down beer (8.00 for a Tall Boy ) and yell and scream and act stupid. Its a joke of a franchise that our favorite franchise has to help keep up, because they struggle to make a profit WITH our help. As for that Preds flamer in another post, more than likely its the old Legionnaire or one of his lovers from the Preds board, im sure they had a big party over at the Jack in the Box in Smyrna. I think when the Preds finally fold or move It will happen within 5 years) Im going to gather a group of Wing fans, and we're going to give them a taste of their own medicine with some long and loud YOU SUCK chants....sounds childish, but nothing like rubbing it in to those rednecks. By the way, Im a resident of the Nashville area again, not born here, just transplanted due to work... I used to feel sorry for this franchise, but not anymore. I hope that Balsillie gets those shares.......

I'm just honest. It's too easy to lump people into the groups of "homer" and "chicken little". Anyone who watches their team get molested like the Wings were tonight and is unmoved by it possesses far less passion for this game and team than I.

Interesting note- right after the 7th goal was scored I angrily closed the window on my computer with the stream playing in it and went down to blockbuster to get a movie.

The movie: There Will Be Blood.

Well Saturday is my go out and do something night so I missed this one. Ummm....wow. Kind of disheartening, every time it seems we've turned a corner we hit another roadblock. Hopefully this will be a learning experience.

Teams that score 16 and give up 96 don't win the Stanley Cup. The old adage about defense winning championships wasn't written in jest. The Wings won last year against the Penguins because they were a far, far, far superior defensive team, not because they could score more goals in a gun-running game.

We were blown to little smithereens out there tonight . I remember a simular drubbing we had earlier in the year against the Canadians I think it was 6 to 1 we played awful it was embarassing. In and of themselves are these type of games indicators of something predominantly wrong with a team, I don't think so. One thing that I have touched on before which keeps coming back to me is that this year we've played a lot of catch-up hockey. The team has had to rally back often with a lot goals to take the game. And to me that unravels the prototype Detroit stategic two way hockey that has so often frustrated opponents. Our goaltending has obviously has not been consistent all year and I don't care who you like ; I don't like the way Holland values goaltending for the longest time. But its kinda late in the game to do anything barring some miraculous three way trade with either the Rangers or Florida-- ahh that's not going to happen right! Something's going to happen, maybe Avs Jordan Leopold steady stay home D, we could use that for the Playoffs. Hey Chris Neil he could add some muscle we could use that and he would savour a Cup . Were so loaded with talent veteran and youth we should make it work for us if we want to keep the Cup , and if that means making some trades why not. I know I know some of you are going to tell me that's how the organization works, loyalty loyalty. I believe in that too, but my first allegience is to the Winged Wheel not the individual player. I said it before to me there's only a few that are truly untouchable. That said, blah blah blah this game is a footnote to nothing ,did it reveal more about are goaltending or just crystalized the season's trend in one game in the worst kind of way, probably. But it is what it is, and when Conklin stopped 34 againt the Sharks let's face it he was making his case for the playoffs I don't think that has changed. Anyways next game is going to be a good hard battle with the Blues. Now I have to go back to my chanting. Im trying to remember the last time Weber fought someone that was actually someone who fights... Anyways, yeah you guys won tonight, 3 or 4 trailers burned down over in Smyrna and Antioch from the party, good for you. But its like this....its one regular season game, and there are 2 left between you Predaturds and the Wings, March 29th I know is one of them, and according to Babcock, it wont be forgotten. Not like tonight's going to propel you into the division lead,(26 points out, I believe) or even THIRD place. If and I mean IF the Turds get in it will be the 7th spot at best. Most of the fans like you are first in line to brag about a victory, but last in line to buy tickets to that sinking ship. If everyone bought tickets to their games that claimed to, they would outdraw the Leafs....

I hear you say that often about how people dont agree with you they dont have intelligence, very nice. Very 4th grade of you.... Legionnaire was able to sound hockey smart when he actually wasn't. He would take bits and pieces he would read on the Preds board and Eklunds boards, come here and spew them, then take posts from here, and spew them on the Preds board, I know this because Ive seen it.. He tried talking about a team that doesn't get much coverage, so naturally there wasn't anyone here on the Wings board that would challenge what he said. Basically the guy was here looking for friends to chat with, I will admit living in the Nashville area myself, there arent many people to chat with about hockey, because not that many really follow the sport past the "casual fan" level. I know he was in the chat clique that acts like they know everything and run the show, Ive had a run-in with that one also...Dude was a ****** plain and simple, sorry that you buy into his junk..... Oh yeah by the way, he only had season tickets for one season, no Centre Ice and they dont televise many home games locally, and not all of the away games, so actually people who had Centre Ice watched his team moreso than he did.....
