Hockeytown_Ryan 122 Report post Posted March 17, 2009 Joey MacDoald was a callup from Grand Rapids. He only played a handful of games with Detroit. He is currently playing for the Islanders. Wasnt that the year of the goalie fiasco.... or was that before Babcock came here Joseph-Hasek-Legace.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted March 17, 2009 (edited) Wasnt that the year of the goalie fiasco.... or was that before Babcock came here Joseph-Hasek-Legace. No, that was 2002-2003. MacDonald only played in Grand Rapids and never played for the Wings except during the 2006-2007 season before being dealt to Boston, if I'm not mistaken. Who is our starting goalie tonight? Conklin or Ozzie? Read the GDT and the multiple times this question has already been answered so far Edited March 17, 2009 by Hockeytown0001
PenaltyShot 96 521 Report post Posted March 17, 2009 Wings - 4 (Hudler, Datsyuk, Kronwall, Cleary) Flyers - 1 The JLA music guy plays the Irish Jig for old time's sake.
Vladifan 680 Report post Posted March 17, 2009 mildly concerned here, with no Homer and the team on a high after two very convincing wins. We'll see... I say 5-4 Wings win it, anyway. I think our boyz will win. But it will certainly help if Franzen and Cleary are willing to take a pounding in front of the net.

Icer 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2009 Wasnt that the year of the goalie fiasco.... Detroit only had 3 goalies in 2006-07. Hasek started. Osgood backed up Hasek. MacDonald was called up when either Osgood or Hasek got banged up. They usually played him on back halves of consecutive games. I checked the stats and MacDonald played 8 games with a 1-5-1 record, a 3.46 GAA, and .872 SVP. Detroit let him go on waivers to Boston in February.

steveyzerman 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2009 Anyone know where I can find a stream for the game? ATDHE doesn't have it listed.
Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted March 17, 2009 (edited) Anyone know where I can find a stream for the game? ATDHE doesn't have it listed. ATDHE got a C&D letter from the NHL. So they don't have streams up anymore that aren't already on Yahoo!. So stop looking there. You won't find anything. However, you can listen to the game on NHL.com or go to 97.1 The Ticket's webpage and listen to it there. Ken Kal/Paul Woods are better than nothing. FinRedWing 172 Report post Posted March 17, 2009 LIVE and on HD in Australia! Filppula's not playing though. Major disappointment. Can't wait to see Ericsson though. And even though pretty much everyone seems to hate the Flyers, they have a lot of players I really like. Hoping we destroy them tomorrow though. Enjoy the game, buddy! VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted March 17, 2009 Good news people. My work called and I don't have to go in tonight, so I get to watch the game. What kind of crazy awesome luck is that? Must be a sign of an impending collossal Wings victory.

Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted March 17, 2009 Stupid bulls***, I pay 30$ for center ice, and can't watch the damn game since it's on Versus. f*** you NHL! MLB is no different. I pay $19.95 for MLB.TV so I can watch my team's games since I'm out of market. But if the games are on FOX or ESPN, they're blacked out and I can't watch them. However, there are ways to get around it with different IP addresses the system thinks your computer is coming from somewhere else. It's sneaky, but it works. I'm pretty sure all professional sports that have viewing packages like that have similar roadblocks in place so that nationally-televised games get preference over those shown through streams online or through what the NHL and NFL have. Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted March 17, 2009 Indeed. Although I'm surprised you'd pay for MLB games and not NHL. NHL your #2? As much as I love hockey, baseball was my first love sports-wise. Growing up on the North Side of Chicago, we went to a ton of Cubs games when I was young (even though no one in my house is a Cubs fan). Also, I signed up for MLB.TV about 3 years ago, when family finances were far different and I could afford it. It's automatically taken off my credit card every month, and I'm the one who makes payments on my credit card. If I could afford to pay for both sports, I would.
