Guest GordieSid&Ted Report post Posted March 25, 2009 Get er' done Kenny. People sometimes forget that hockey players are by and large, the most down to earth, humble and friendliest of athletes. I think we forget that when we're watching them do something on the ice that gets our blood boiling. I have a mad hate on for Hartnell, always have. Thought he was a goalie crasher. Thought he threw questionable hits. Don't like that he fights with a visor. But even I will admit that story is funny as s***.
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted March 25, 2009 I was somewhat devestated when he was traded to Philly. I was hoping that he'd still test the market. I was in Buenos Aires, Argentina looking up hockey news and I was pissed. I wanted him on the Wings, even after he had been a pain in the ass for so long. Guest micah Report post Posted March 25, 2009 (edited) Who hated Hartnell in the first place? I always liked his game. ETA: I do wish he would quit wearing that visor or start being a little quicker to toss it though. I wish players would remember:1st: stick down 2nd: visor/mask off (if applicable) 3rd: gloves off. Unless you completely got jumpefd and blindsided, don't drop your gloves if you haven't dropped anything in front of your face first. P. Marlowe 748 Report post Posted March 25, 2009 (edited) I'm sure that there are many people who thought that Hartnell would be an aggressive ******* outside the rink and that he would've punched that fan wearing that outrageous and insulting shirt. Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted March 25, 2009 Although it didn't matter in the long run, I've still got no compelling reason to forgive him for wrecking Jiri's knee.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted March 25, 2009 Ewwww. I still VERY much dislike the guy, but it's cool he was great to the fan and was funny about the whole thing. I love the video where the fan tells him to leave Gonchar alone. haha
