HOCKEY MATTERS 167 Report post Posted March 30, 2009 I couldn't agree more I've seen it happen many times including last night Joey MacDonald played unbelieveable he was blessed becasue the Wings hit like 4 or 5 post last night but besides that Joey and the Islanders played very well. I thought the Wings did the best they could do on a night like last night when nothing seems to go in for ya. Let's regroup and get back to basics and play good quality Detroit Red Wings hockey. Go Wings!! Wings threw that game so Joey Mac can puff up a little....I knew it.

stormboy 47 Report post Posted March 31, 2009 yeah, i mean think of hossa when we played in pittsburg. i think players always have that little extra drive when playing their old teams. a bit off topic...but i'm trying to think of joeymac's last game FOR us. wasn't that the 1-0 shutout that broke our super-long shutout-less streak a couple of years ago? i remember he played lights out that game and we couldn't score one goal for him. sounds like a similar story to a couple of nights ago...
