4/8 GDT: Columbus Blue Jackets @ Chicago Blackhawks

Don't know if anyone's going to be watching, but Chicago can clinch the number 4 seed and home ice advantage for the 1st round. While on the other hand Columbus with a win is almost guaranteed to make the playoffs for the first time. Will provide a link if i can find one, Chicago's link's are always hard to find.

Buffalo vs. Toronto- 7:30 pm

Blue Jackets vs. Blackhawks- 8:30 pm

The Blackhawks can clinch the #4 seed in the conference if they beat the Jackets. The Jackets can clinch a playoff berth by earning at least a point against the Blackhawks. NHL

Last days of the season will see 5 playoff spots up for grabs. NHL

Go Chicago. I'd like to see Anaheim pass Columbus in the standings, so that we can avoid the Ducks in the first round.

Better yet, have Anaheim lose out and drop out of the race.

Agreed. I'm not picking my poison, but I'll tell you who I don't want to face. Regardless of being 3-0-1 against the Ducks this year, I'd prefer not to play a team on the other side of the country that's playing its best hockey of the season right now.

We can always take comfort in the fact that unless Anaheim drops to 8th place, San Jose's gonna have to travel a whole lot too.

I know, I know. It ain't much, but it's something.

I don't much feel sorry for these guys who play cards and watch movies on private jets who then get carted off the tarmacs to 5-Star hotels to sleep on down feather pillows!

BTW: where is that thread that follows the Wings jet?

As mentioned, playing the Ducks is not half of it. It's dealing with the punks on that team that take unnecessary liberties that could wreck your team.

I don't feel sorry for them, but it still takes something out of you. I know after flying to Florida that I am pretty much ready for a nap when I land. 100% agree with you on the part in bold.

If your cable system offers MLB Exta Innings, then you're probably getting NHL Center Ice for free too during MLB's "first week of the season" free preview. Comcast and Charter customers can watch it now.
