Playoff Beards

So when does the growth start? At the end of the regular season, on the night the playoffs begin, or at the drop of the puck of the Wings first game?

I am leaning towards the Wings rule.

Anyone know the official interpretation of this rule?

Aside from all the options you mentioned, I've heard a number of different people also say it's the day your team clinches the play offs. I haven't shaved in a week and a half cause I wanted to test run different styles to see which one to sport during the playoffs, so after having the one I wanted I've just kept it. I don't know if I should just leave it like that, or shave the day of the first game.

players shave clean after the morning skate around, prior to round 1 - game 1. anyone legitimately in contention of the best playoff beard should do the same.

I don't grow a playoff beard because I'm not allowed and besides that if I ever did grow a beard it'd be this thick neck-jungle and nothing else. But if I did, I'd shave the morning of the first Wings game and let 'er grow from there.

Tomorrow morning... i am shaving it all off. Just in time for my birthday dinner that night a b-dubs to watch the wings kick ass. They better give me a b-day win dammit!
