Ovie kicked out of practice... The NYR's, that is.

Now he just has to play well enough to actually MAKE them afraid of him. I wanna see him blow up in game 3.

He needs to cut his shifts down by a couple minutes in order to do that.

Genuine Question:

What is funny about it?

My first reaction:

Here is a team leader whose team is down 0-2 to a lower seed and just got handled twice in his own building, disrupting another team's practice. AO can't get in the press by scoring, so now he does it by being a nuisance? I don't see it. Please explain it to me.

He is one of my favorite players and usually I like everything he does. This one, I don't get.

Yeah, I don't see the humour in it, either. Just seems like a weak attempt at mind games, I guess.

Ovechkin needs to worry more about trying to figure out how to beat Lundqvist.

This thread was blown a little bit out I think. After reading the link it was just another media darling stunt. They blow it up and we eat it up. He came out for a couple minutes and stretched, mumbled, left. Torts said he did not even notice.

Ovie needs to go deflate his head a little bit and concentrate on not getting shut out any longer. Losing both games at home makes it very difficult to win on the road.

Silly Media Strikes Again!

Ovechkin has quite the sence of humor. I know he isn't on my favorite team, but man, is he awesome. I can't understand why the NHL has someone like Sidney Crosby as it's posterboy. Ovechkin is the complete package. The only thing missing is the winged wheel!

Crosby tends to stick around in the playoffs a little longer.

Well, I guess he actually did have his mind in the game, eh? I think it's hilarious that people assume because he does something ridiculous like that it means he isn't serious about winning.

He's tied for the lead on the team in +/- and points, and I think he'd have a couple of goals right now if NY's goalie wasn't playing so well. What else do you expect him to do?
