aflac9262 211 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 Finally a series. Getting kind of sad with the Wings being up 3-0 on CBJ, Vancouver sweeping some music note logo'd team, Boston on the verge of sweeping Montreal, and the Penguins up 3-1. These playoffs have been one sided for the most part.
C-TownWing 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 Told you guys the Sharkies weren't done yet, not by a longshot...strong game by Murray.

Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 But didn't you actively hope for Columbus instead of Anaheim? Nope. I've always been more concerned about HOW we play, than WHO we play. Of course there is an advantage to playing Columbus over Anaheim, travel, playoff experience, physicality, etc. But I'm not the kind of person to actively hope for one opponent or another. 10 Minute Misconduct 104 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 Funny that the best game the Ducks have played so far they lose lol
10 Minute Misconduct 104 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 But yeah, i don't see why people are going for the Sharks. Sharks are our biggest threat in the West, you want them out ASAP. Also, Vancouver > Anaheim.
Yak19 303 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 I wanted the Sharks to win tonight and make it a series but that call on Perry (as much as i dislike this lactating man-***) was a joke, should never have been called in the playoffs even in the new nhl. Sharks should go with Boucher for the rest of the series... seriously.

Sharks should go with Boucher for the rest of the series... seriously. That call was bad, but so was the BS tripping call on Pavelski that led to a power play goal by the ducks earlier in the game. Still settling down from watching that game. It was pretty intense. The ducks are no 8 seed quality wise, I assure you of that much. The next game is a must win in my book as well. Going down 3-1 is unacceptable.

Ya i only watched the 3rd so maybe it was a makeup for some other crappy call, i can only hope weak calls eventually offset but im sure all hockey fans would prefer to let both teams play especially during playoffs. Good Luck in the series.
Duck Guy 86 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 (edited) Ducks did not turn the desperate switch on for the last 2-1 Min left in the game like they should of. I thought the 1st period was the best. But the ducks where chasing the sharks on the scoreboard all night. Not one point where they ahead. Horrible. Oh well I see the ducks winning game 4.. Hopefully. And it was funny during a TV timeout wild wing was giving the choking signal to some shark fans.. I though that was funny O.o Edited April 22, 2009 by Duck Guy
miller76 463 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 I just got home from the san jose, anaheim game tonight. I had great seats at center ice. sat with all the photographers on the club level. What an absolutely boring game. I just had watched the detroit, columbus game on a really piss poor columbus feed, and it was a hell of a lot more exciting then two teams that couldn't pass for s***, missed many open nets, and couldn't stay on their skates. Blame the crappy ice if you will, but after watching these two play tonight, I have no fear for the Wings playing either one of these teams.

Does a lot of similar stuff that SJ Sharkie does. Lots of fan interaction. Game 4 should be another close one.

10 Minute Misconduct 104 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 Yah that call on Pavelski in the first was weak too. The only difference IMO is how can u make that call to decide a game tied in the 3rd? Really weak. I still don't think San Jose will come back in this series. Winner of game 4 takes the series i'm thinking.
miller76 463 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 It looked on the TV broadcast like there were a lot of empty seats. Since you were there, what was your impression? The place was actually pretty full. But there were groups of seats that were empty, which I thought was a little strange. The Duck fans were really into the game during the first period. Probably because there was a lot of up and down emotion with four goals and tons of penalties. I guess I most enjoyed the two guys behind me, trying to understand the game. The differences between icing and offsides. Wearing their 'Neider-vacation' jersies over their dress shirt and tie! Them getting pissed everytime a Ducks player fell down or got hit into the boards, and wanting a penalty. I was just a little taken at the lack of drive on either side to make things happen. To make sure the pass got to it's intended target, to hit an open blinding net. But if these teams get together and stop taking so many dumb penalties after the whistle, they might have a better chance to win every game.
