McCartyFanForLife 17 Report post Posted April 25, 2009 geez, terrible play by the Flyers... getting caught with 3 deep on a 4 on 4 situation
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted April 25, 2009 But gives away his team's momentum. Why would you fight with a 3 goal lead? Stupid. Agreed. In retrospect, very dumb fight.
Mike 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2009 Okay, not liking this momentum swing. Blame Carcillo. You don't fight when your team is up 3. Why give the Penguins anything to feed on?
Rivalred 630 Report post Posted April 25, 2009 (edited) getting caught with 3 deep on a 4 on 4 situation Sounds like a prono. Edited April 25, 2009 by Rivalred
Mike 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2009 (edited) Agreed. In retrospect, very dumb fight. Not even in retrospect. There is absolutely no reason to get into a fight when your team is up 3 goals. You're just falling into a suckers trap. In retrospect it turns out to be great for the Pens. The Pens capitalize on the stupidity of the Flyers, something they have been doing all series long. Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 25, 2009 Blame Carcillo. You don't fight when your team is up 3. Why give the Penguins anything to feed on? Meh. You're right that you don't fight when you are up by three. But if you do fight and you win as handily as Carcillo did, that should gain you momentum. That the Flyers proceed to give up 2 quick goals says more about them than Carcillo.
PenaltyShot 96 521 Report post Posted April 25, 2009 Talbot sacrificed his face to get his team back in the game. Foolish (why'd he pick Carcillo??), but admirable I suppose. I'm loving the intensity of this game, I can only imagine how good the 3rd period will be!

I'm loving the intensity of this game, I can only imagine how good the 3rd period will be! Because he is one of the most undisciplined players on the Flyers team and most likely to get into a fight in a non-fight situation.
Yak19 303 Report post Posted April 25, 2009 Flyers are playing like a bunch of fuktards, do they know they can be eliminated tonight?

That the Flyers proceed to give up 2 quick goals says more about them than Carcillo. Winning a fight isn't the only aspect that gains a team momentum. Talbot showed his team that he is willing to sacrifice his body to mount any sort of comeback.
Mike 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2009 Why does NBC use this horrible camera angle on PP's? It's dumb.
PenaltyShot 96 521 Report post Posted April 25, 2009 Because he is one of the most undisciplined players on the Flyers team and most likely to get into a fight in a non-fight situation. Good point. I was thinking more from a match-up point of view; Talbot had to know the odds were not in his favor. There still might be some bad blood from Carcillo's "message sending" earlier in the series as well. Man, the Flyers are out of control now!

Never_Retire_Steve 35 Report post Posted April 25, 2009 (edited) Wow, are these the Penguins or the Phillies? Second baseball swing goal to tie the game by number 1 in your hearts and number 87 on the Penguins Sidney Crosby. Edit: meant to say Pirates Edited April 25, 2009 by Never_Retire_Steve
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted April 25, 2009 Wow. Crosby has good hand-eye. Almost as good as Mark Eaton... Seriously, though. This game has been the battle of who can suck less. Neither team is playing well. They're just capitalizing on one another's piss poor moves all over the ice. I wish the Wings were in the Eastern Conference. It'd be a cakewalk to the finals.
