Doc Holiday 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2009 I'm at work, and the flash player doesn't work on the computer I'm using, but be sure to check out NHL.com NHL.com - Ovechkin and Crosby comment on one another I checked this out, thinking it'd be cool to see what one another thought of each other, and this is basically what one another had to say: Ovechkin: "He [Crosby] probably sees the ice better than anyone in the game. We're going to have to play him and Malkin hard." Crosby: "A lot of people say he loves hockey more than anyone. I don't think thats true. We just show it differently. I love hockey just as much, if not more, than anyone in the NHL." Nice job, Crosby. Ovechkin compliments you and talks hockey, and you complain about how people perceive you, and insinuate that Ovechkin is no better than you. Props. And you wonder why you aren't everyones golden boy. Have you ever thought they were asked different questions?

dawings1905 2 Report post Posted May 12, 2009 Have you ever thought they were asked different questions? Yes they were asked different questions, but Crosby has a problem giving credit to anyone else. Do you not remember how arrogant he was when we played them in the finals last year? He was not willing to give one bit of credit to the wings, instead saying that it was the Pens not playing up to their potential. Now, I understand how this game works, but it is also what seperates men sometimes. Have you ever noticed that most of the wings players are always complimenting their opponents? You can tell Crosby has a really difficult time doing this. It reminds me of that one kid is school who had everything, and was given everything.
Glubki 17 Report post Posted May 12, 2009 I think that we can all agree that this series has lived up to expectations That series reminds me of the 80's all over again. Up and down action with little defense. Same went for the nucks/hawks series.

puertoricanWingsfan 5 Report post Posted May 12, 2009 it's crazy because... I hate Sidney Crosby almost half as much as I love the wings... I really want to see him lose
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted May 12, 2009 That was definitely unexpected. The 3rd period was also kinda bi-polar for me.. since most of the game I was under the impression the Pens were going to win, then the Caps lead, oh, Game 7 here we co-- oh wait Pens score a few more, Caps score a few more.. I was pretty sure when OT came around the Caps were doomed but they pulled it off. They should do better since Game 7 is in their house.
HadThomasVokounOnFortSt 878 Report post Posted May 12, 2009 I thought that pipe in the OT was in. I do think Capitals stole on there, Penguins were sure out playing them.

You can tell Crosby has a really difficult time doing this. It reminds me of that one kid is school who had everything, and was given everything. Maybe if you took the time to realize that he has been the best for most of his life you might not ride him so hard. And he's still just a kid. Anyway, he hasn't been given anything. He's ******* taken everything at every level of hockey he's been at. Seriously, when you spend your formative years, your teenage years pretty much blowing everybody you play against out of the water.....how humble are you supposed to be? IMO, he's a fairly humble, well-spoken kid. If you watch off ice interviews with him (not post game interviews) he's very affable and polite. He' very complimentary of others as well. But as for hockey, he's just been better than everybody for almost his entire life. What's he supposed to say? That everyone is just great or that this player is as good as me? And for the record. He's complimented players many times. You're taking one snippet out of 1 interview and the Finals last year to paint with a broad brush. This was prior to the Caps/Pens series and pretty much how he sounds in all his interviews. He's complimentary to others. Likes to downplay his own greatness...and yes, he's a great player and he pretty much says the "right" things, even if they are standard, bland answers. But then again, most NHLers give the standard, bland answer so what can you do. Nitpicking everything he says has officially jumped the shark. Move on people. Find a new love interest. http://videos.espn.com/m/video/22198288/cr...3&seek=3.
cusimano_brothers 1,655 Report post Posted May 12, 2009 On the TSN coverage of the game, Pierre McGuire reported lots of bad line changes by Pittsburgh. One cost them at least one goal and one was caught for a penalty. This is funny: on wikipedia dot com, thanks to someone's edit, they have "Pierre" as his nickname and "Regis" as his first name.
