I still say they oughta have somebody in the house with one of those diving horns like they use on submarines when they pull that s***.

LOL!

That thing would've been going off constantly.

The other thing that made me laugh about Carlile saying the hit on Hudler was fine because "this is a contact sport and your allowed to hit people" and in the next breath complaining about Franzen knocking the goalie over after the puck went in.

"The video doesn't lie" Waaaaaaaaaaaa

Thats right Randy, take a look at the HEAD shot.

PAUSE.

Isn't goaltender interference if you're in the crease BEFORE the puck is?

Essentially here's what Carlyle said about the Hudler hit:

He said "last time I looked, this was a checking league and you're allowed to take the body. Not 1 second went off the clock from the time Hudler passed the puck until the time he got hit.". Then, yes, the next question he b*tched about Franzen scoring his first goal and how he followed up with running over Hiller. I thought that was actually legal, if you drive to the net and score a goal or get a great shot off and have nowhere to go, what else can you do?

Yeah, he said "the video doesn't lie". lol What an F'n baby. He leads, and tolerates, the dirtiest team in the league and then complains like a *****.

He added that "they" had timed it and between Hudler passing the puck and when Brown hit him was less than a second. The clock hadn't moved.

...yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaahhhhhhhhhh....

I know! I heard that and I was like... ummm, let me show you how a timer works. See, you have to press 'start'...

You can still get called for it, even after a goal. That happened in the Bs-Canes game tonight, when on the same play Jokinen scored (which counted) and Bayda was whistled for interference. Thomas wasn't even in the crease on the play.

That's absolutely ridiculous. Sounds to me like they like to re-write the interference rules as they happen.

It's not ridiculous. It just means that you don't have carte blanche to run a goalie just because the puck's in the crease or a goal has been scored. Franzen was walking a line there on that play--usually that doesn't get called, but sometimes it does. Bayda's running over Thomas was more blatant and was a clear penalty, even though it was after the goal.

It was at 8:36, and the clock did not move by the time he made contact.

Interesting... I watched the video, and the hit was at 8:35 when I looked at the clock it had JUST turned to 8:34

We'll see what the League says.

Ohhhh okay. Well, thanks for clearing that up.

You'll love Brown's opinion...

"I don't think it was dirty at all," Brown said. "He had his head down and I lead in with my shoulder. I don't know what would be so dirty. He had just gotten rid of the puck. It wasn't late or anything."

Ummm the puck was way gone, your bigger and you saw he had his head down, yet you still ran him with your shoulder and you "don't know what would be so dirty"

You are too dumb to breeth

No if you slow it down, he is right, Hudler releases right when the clock turns to 36 and the hit is right when the clock is turning to 35. Still a penalty and suspension either way b/c of the hit to the head.

Hell of a game. Here's to more like this one. I loved every minute of it, up to the last minute.

I can see this series going 7 games easy! I do agree Brown deserved 5 minutes. If suspended..1 game the most. I have seen worse of late. The refs did a decent job calling. The penalty on Wiz for hooking Hossa was extremely lame. Hossa never falls and he fell a little to easy for my liking. That was a dive! Other than that..great game by 2 high class teams

The goalie interference between Homer, Franzen, Perry, Getzlaf will be ridiculous this series. I just hope they call it both ways

sorry for the double post

Ya I thought that call was weak, but I also thought the call on Franzen that put us down to 4 on 3 was very weak. Seemed like the Duck player dove there as well.

We expect calls like that on Wiz. It is what it is.

I'd prefer it if the refs had a few more no-calls on both sides.

Yeah, it seemed they just randomly decided to start pulling out their whistles halfway through the game.
