Not the best game we've played, but a win is the most important thing.

Ozzie and Lidstrom saved our asses. Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Hossa didn't show up tonight the way they can.

Also, we need Rafalski back. Seeing Sammy out there so often on the PP made me sick.

Lastly, I got to give kudos to Ericsson for throwing that visor wearing idiot Perry around the ice. That was fun to watch.

I wonder if Don Cherry will complain about the Canadian boy wearing the visor during a fight against a Euro?

I actually thought Zetterberg played well. He skated well; good defensively. Offensively he wasn't great, held on to the puck for too long, but who was besides Saint Nick?

It's Datsyuk and Hossa that are still bugging me. They're playing like individuals who are only good during the regular season but can't bring it when playoff time comes. Both of them used to have the label of playoff chokers. Maybe they need to shed that label again.

About half our forwards up front are invisible. Cleary, Filppula, and our 4th line have given us some energy, but the big guns have been half-assing it when not on the PP.

Franzen, Zetterberg, Datsyuk, and Hossa are much better than this.

On the bright side, the Perry-Getzlaf-Ryan line hasn't been doing much either.

I kind of hoped the two lines would neutralize each other. But I think Getalaugh got a couple of points tonight.

Anaheim take this one 5-4, wings are too injury prone, even if wings have the last change it will wear em down, and they will be rusty from the week off... wings is one of them team who is not suppose to have days off cause they will just get sick and injured and lose the match tempo from it.

Ozzy didn't look too solid tonight... I was worried on more than a few occasions... If the Ducks burried their chances (i.e. Ryan w/ the open net, ozzy diving too far and nearly getting caught nowhere near the net, multiple posts), this game could have been out of reach

The team in general was a step behind the pace of the first round. Hopefully they turn back into form after this one and Raffi comes back soon. Can't wait for the next game!

There was good and bad things about this game, but we won. That's all I care about.

But Datsyuk, Hossa and Z didn't play anywhere near their potential today. Get them going and the Ducks aren't going to have it easy.

I'm happy for the win, no doubt.

It's just that after the game I felt kind of like Anaheim lost more so than Detroit won. It was kind of like after Game 1 of the 1997 Conference Finals where Detroit played better but Roy stole the game. The reason this concerns me is because we all know what happened afterwards. The Avs luck ran out and the Wings took over. Hopefully it's not like that but it's still concerning.

I thought this was the worst game the wings played in the playoffs this year honestly. They were off for half the game, and were slow for the entire game it seemed to me. I think we're lucky we won, but I'll take that. They better be much improved for game 2.
