Guest GordieSid&Ted Report post Posted May 4, 2009 After I had been unceremoniously moved to defense due to hands of solid stone I tried to find a niche for myself. Probably in my mid-late teens I fell in love with Vladdy's style. I tried to emulate him but could never muster up the two-way game as well as he could. You wouldn't catch me jumping up and carrying the puck or scoring shorties but I tried . The way he played without the puck really helped me decide and focus on what I needed to do to be an useful player. Seriously, for all the great things Fedorov or Stevie or Nick did, who didn't want to be, at some point just like Vladdy. He just had this swagger about him back there. He was calm yet ferocious at the same time. I'll admit it, I still get teary eyed thinking about what was and what could have been. I'm proud to say I idolized him and the way he played the game. titanium2 867 Report post Posted May 4, 2009 We've all seen this video but it's always a good one for a refresher. I like what Vladdy says, "I just want to play... My game... Aggressive style." Well put.
