LOL @ Wings fans hating on Hossa

Detroit has lost 1 Game, in the Playoffs. 1 Game. Calm Down. I understand that this is a fan messgeboard and one of the main purposes for these boards are for fans to point fingers at players but c'mon. That was one of the best games I've seen so far in the Playoffs.

I don't see how pointing out mistakes the team and the coaches make is considered overreacting. Noone on here says things like "It's over. I'm not watching anymore." They just get pissed when the team doesn't play like it should. That's not overreacting, imo. It's just being a fan.

I haven't been here in a while, but I have been around LGW for 8 years or so now. A lot of posters seem to get overexcited and exagerate, but I don't think that they wildly overreact as some make it out. Hossa plays a few bad games in a row, the fans get on his ass. That's not overreacting. That's just pointing out what's going on.

Back when Ottawa still had its fondness for choking in the playoffs, Hossa scored 10 points in 12 playoff games in 01-02 and 16 points in 18 playoff games in 02-03. He had one point in four playoff games for Atlanta, but he also had a shoulder injury that should've prevented him from playing at all. Then he scored 26 points in 20 playoff games during last year's run.

Unless you want to dredge up his playoff stats when he was in his early 20s and still adapting to the NHL game, the claim has no credence whatsoever. He certainly was markedly better than Datsyuk was at the same stage of his career.

Hossa averaged about a point per game during the regular season. He has 4 in 6 games right now, about a point per game average. He's leading the team in shots right now, is his usual self being defensively responsbile, and is busting his rear out there. You aren't always going to score points. Hossa is fine. What's the problem here?

He hasn't been inside the face-off circles or anywhere near the net in 3 games. That's the problem. Not his centerman. The boy is big. He shouldn't be afraid to go mix it up with Elbows and Captain Graybeard.
