Guest NumbaSixty-Six Report post Posted May 8, 2009 "People kept throwing hats," Sidney Crosby said tonight. "I was just asking if he could make an announcement to ask them to stop. I mean, the first wave came and then I think they were all pretty much picked up, and then more started coming. So for us, we just wanted to make sure we kept kind of moving and kept the game going, wanted to try to get back in it. So wasn't complaining about anything." What a ******* baby. Lol? big ******* deal? he didn't blame anything on anyone. Like "OMFG ****** CAPITALS GET ALL THE CALLS *CRY LIKE BB/OVECHKIN* He wanted to play.
jollymania 162 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 Crosby hasn't cried at all this year. At all. why are you even bringing this up on a wings board anyways, pens fans have some serious issues with who is the whiner/ect.. maybe if you team wouldnt have done it in the first place it wouldnt have happened no need to constantly be defending crosby, it has gone waaaay too far

Chunkylover 26 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 I'm not exactly sure what the impetus behind this thread was, but it did serve to remind me how thankful I am that this team doesn't get #1 draft picks. They're either prima donna's, media darlings, or both. Instead we have guys like Bowman, Yzerman, Shanahan, Lidstrom, then Babcock, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Hossa who by the virtue of their unheralded entry into professional North American hockey, are more about hard work than working the media. SuperNovaXll 124 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 First, Crosby is one of the biggest whiners in the NHL. I think sometimes people will make too big of a deal about it, but its Crosbys own fault for his reputation. As the above poster said, Im so happy we have had such classy guys in the wings organization for such a long time. But on another note, Those pictures of Ovie were so friggin funny, I think some pee came out!

The_Cub 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 (edited) Sidney is a super talented guy that complains more than any other hockey player. I've seen it live. He and the zebras appear to be tethered Edited May 8, 2009 by The_Cub
tazzer82 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 I think that's why so many have issues with him. Every single time they show him, he's in the refs ear. He only has himself to blame for his whiner reputation, maybe if he'd shut his trap and just play hockey, there wouldn't be so much reason to get on his case. Although, the commercial they show on Versus with him and Ovechkin is hilarious.
Dabura 12,232 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 Sidney is a super talented guy that complains more than any other hockey player. This. Everyone here knows just how talented Sidney Crosby is. He's an absolute monster, and he's only going to get better. But sweet Jesus, Sid, shut your trap.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 He does talk to much, but he'll learn. He has no leaders around him, if Recchi and Roberts had been in Pittsburgh for longer Sid would be much different. Not 10 pages worth of discussion thoughh.

Doc Holiday 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 This. Everyone here knows just how talented Sidney Crosby is. He's an absolute monster, and he's only going to get better. But sweet Jesus, Sid, shut your trap. He's a captain. He is supposed to talk to the referees when something happens. Just like Lidstrom does when there is a borderline call or play. Should we call Lidstrom a ******* baby because he talks to the refs a lot?

Are you saying *you* know what goes on in the locker room? How do you know he's wrong? The Wings and their fans must be pretty deep in your head if you are posting here about a third team. Should we call Lidstrom a ******* baby because he talks to the refs a lot? Huh? Are you really comparing the discourse Lidstrom has with the officials with the discourse Crosby has with the officials? 'Cause there's really no comparison besides both use words to communicate with the refs. The tone, demeanor, body language, intensity, and frequency are COMPLETE opposites. Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 Wild guess but Mario wasn't exactly a s***ty leader. He had him for half a season. I know he lives in his house, but it's different. Having Mario for 2-3 years talking to him every shift, in the lockeroom, showing him how to present himself etc. would've helped Sid a ton.
