Resetti 44 Report post Posted May 7, 2009 Geez, Varlamov was insane tonight. The only time he was beaten cleanly was on Malkin's PP goal... everything else was strange deflections. I was starting to wonder whether or not the sustained intense play by the Penguins would be rewarded or if Varlamov would steal another one. After the 1st period, play was absolutely dominated by the Penguins, except they could not get anything past that beast Varlamov. One question has been very clearly answered though: Varlamov is for real. Nobody can still have doubts about that kid through the first three games of this series. If he doesn't come down to earth soon, though, Pittsburgh's still in serious trouble.
