It's just rude to assume that other people can read your mind and/or have the time to figure out what you meant whilst you don't have the time to do a little correction. (Obviously if a minor typo gets through, it's no big deal, but if the info itself is incorrect, and you know it's incorrect, you really ought to fix it.)
