Brad Stuart Appreciation Thread

We could make an appreciation thread for 75% of the players. The entire team is doing a great job overall.

Although you have a point, the entire team has stepped up there are a few that are still shining brighter then the rest and Stuart is one of the most noticable. Man does he ever look possessed out there. He is about to start hitting the back of the net with frequency very soon, mark my words. Stuart has been the biggest boost to our D this play IMO. Good job Stuart!

I thought it was a great testament to his support of Kronwall. All this crap from the the Blackhawks and the media making it seem like they're singling Kronwall out, and Stuart comes in and pretty much says, "Anything you plan on doing to him, you better plan on doing to me, too."

Exactly! Great defensive pair. They play such a similar game. Stuart is the best I've seen with that hit check. He makes himself so big and immovable when he moves into position with his ass out like that. Its great to watch.

During the regular season people wanted him traded because they thought he was playing so bad. Based on that, half of this team should have been traded. That's why fans don't run teams.

From when we picked him up at the deadline and the play he had in last year's postseason you must admit he was pretty brutal in the regular season.

Having said that, the way he has elevated his play as a legit #1 or #2 guy this postseason in the absence of Lidstrom, Rafalski and Lilja has to be appreciated especially when you have Chelios on your blue line.

He and Kronwall were suitably brutal during the regular season, which doesn't set them apart from most of the team, although that pairing was especially bad. But they weren't an elite pairing in the '08 playoffs for nothing, so there was plenty of reason for optimism for them again this postseason (as if we had any other choice). Obviously Stuart has pulled through and to this point had a tremendous playoffs.
