Datsyerberger 279 Report post Posted May 28, 2009 (edited) http://espn.go.com/nhl/playoffs/2009/news/...s-experts-picks He picked 7 of 8 correctly in the first round. He picked 3 of 4 correctly in the second round. He picked 2 of 2 correctly in the conference finals. Its not like he is horrible at this predicting thing. He also got the score of Game 3 of DET-CHI wrong in his Pens-Wings prediction article. Reeeeal credible. There are people on ******* hfboards that have a better prediction record than Burnside right now (I know of at least one that's called every series right and got the correct number of games for at least 1/3 of them). The sad part is Burnside is as close as ESPN gets to a decent hockey writer. Edited May 28, 2009 by Datsyerberger
Hockeytown Red Wings 245 Report post Posted May 28, 2009 People underestimating the Wings. Love it. Plays right into our hands. Wish he would taken some jabs at Ozzie too.
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted May 28, 2009 Thats just journalism. When Burnside takes jabs at Hank scoring goals on the EN, he's saying that Zetterberg really hasn't scored many big goals, or tough goals. And theres no denying that. While EN goals have their place in terms of importance, you would expect last years Conn Smythe winner to be dominate at both ends of the ice. Anyone who has watched the playoffs this year knows that while Hank is putting up points, he hasn't been particularly dangerous in the offensive zone. Hank is my favorite player, but he definitely needs to take his offensive game to the net level in the Finals. He isn't the only one either.
RedWingsRox 614 Report post Posted May 28, 2009 Let's not underestimate empty netters. They are a dagger to a team down 1 goal. It seals the victory. Never as easy as it seems to get puck in, usually a guy is on you like a blanket.
