Talked to someone who works in Ken Hollands office tonight. He told me a couple of things. Take it for what it's worth, believe it or don't.

a. Lidstrom and Dats are fine now. Holland and Babcock have known the back to back games were coming for about a week and made the call to rest them.

b. Ericsson was cleared to play last Wednesday.

c. They wanted to have us play at 8 on Saturday and noon on Sunday, Holland told them to f*** off.

d. Hossa is pretty much a lock to sign.

e. Crosballs was walking around the Joe today with a playing cast on his hand.

Anyway, just thought I would share. Made me feel better.

Ericsson had surgery on Wednesday and was not cleared to play.

Crosby is not walking around with a cast on his hand or every media outlet would be all over it..

A playing cast is essentially a thin cast so you can still fit a glove on, but it acts as a brace for your wrist/arm, without much flexibility.

Pretty common to see in contact sports, really.

In a way I was kinda thinking A myself. I never noticed Lidstrom having any problems in game 3,but who knows.Dats hasn't been hisself,so I wonder if he's been injured way longer then they are telling us.The rest of it not so sure about.

b. the cap is going up to 160 million next year

c. hossa is talking about signing long term for a rabbit pen and alfalfa patch

d. the north korean national anthem, in place of the star spangled banner, will be sung before each game during the finals.
