Pat 44 Report post Posted June 5, 2009 I think its clear the wings need Pavel Datsyuk to repeat as cup champs. Without him we make lots of turnovers and rarely cause turnovers from the penguins. I'm sick and tired of the trainers "taking it easy". It's time to put the hungry Russian back in the lineup and give us the much needed boost to get over the hump. We will NOT win this series without him; not even a chance. In other news the pens continue to show there class by diving for penalties (3:00 into the first) Kronwall had his glove on his back and the guy fell down as if he was pulling a boulder... //endrant Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

As to the diving, it reminded me of guys in those old war movies the way they would sort of spass out when they were shot. Vincanni 1 Report post Posted June 5, 2009 Really highlights how truly important he is to this team. Even with his scarce point total, his defensive play and puck handling are sourly missed. I'm entirely confident he'll play for game 5, but it would have been nice to have a buffer for him to knock some rust off during which isn't going to happen. Also no complaining about their 1st goal please being drawn on a dive, everyone's been forced to do that this series, the goal was off sides from the look of it and they won by more then one goal so really its a moot point. gcom007 1,465 Report post Posted June 5, 2009 He's a Hart Candidate. Even when he's not scoring he's an incredibly important part of this team. We need him back in game 5 period. I'm pretty convinced that sans a Datsyuk return, Pittsburgh will win this in 6. All Dats has to do is help on D. I don't give a s*** if he scores but we need to shut them down.
