SliderJeff 11 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 (edited) Hey guys, I just won a Winter Classic RBK Edge jersey (with fight strap and all that jazz), so I am pretty sure it's the authentic. I wear a size 50 in the "old style" Nike authentics version from the late 90's. I was wondering if I would still take a 50 in these new "form fitting" ones, or if I should go one size higher for comfort? I'm in Texas, so I won't be wearing anything other than a thin t-shirt under these.... EVER. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks for your help! GO WINGS! Motown4013 350 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 Hi I have an Edge jersey and do find that they fit a bit more snug...by about a 1/2 size, so to err on the size of caution...especially if you wear a sweatshirt or LS shirt underneath, i would go a size bigger! Good Luck

Zata fan 40 6 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 Winter Classics were not made with fight straps for sale to the public...chances are it's a chinese knock off, so I would talk to guys on the one thread that deals with those. I know sizes can be quite a bit different depending on who you buy from.
VladyIBELIEVE16 257 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 (edited) Yes Winter Classic Authentic Edge Jerseys were made with the fight strap. I have one. It was purchased from a reputable source (as well as NHL.com sold them too). Here's the sizing chart to help you out http://www.hockeymonkey.com/rbk-edge-jersey-sizing.html SJ the material on these jerseys is completely different than that of previous jerseys and the replicas they sold. The fabric is insanely soft and you actually wouldn't even need to wear a shirt under it. It's just that good Edited June 6, 2009 by VladyIBELIEVE16

I know sizes can be quite a bit different depending on who you buy from. Actually, they did sell Edge WC jerseys with fight strap but in very limited quantities. I bought mine from NHL.com for $349 plus discount codes. Got it for $289. I bought a size 52 and it fits perfectly. Usually buy large or XL depending on the replica jersey. 52 is a pretty standard size to buy. If you buy larges, get size 50, if XL get 52. Hope I could help. (VladyIBELIEVE16 beat me to it!) Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 Winter Classics were not made with fight straps for sale to the public...chances are it's a chinese knock off, so I would talk to guys on the one thread that deals with those. I know sizes can be quite a bit different depending on who you buy from. Not necessarily. The Reebok "Premier" Winter Classic jerseys do not have the fight strap. They are the same style as the old CCM/Koho replicas. No fight strap, different materials, different fits, etc. The Reebok "Edge" Winter Classic jerseys are the real deal. They have the Fight Strap, NHL shield on the collar, pro weight, everything. I happen to have one of these, and trust me, it not only has the fight strap, it is also 100% authentic, not one of the Chinese knock offs. And to answer the OP, here is the best sizing guide I've found with what to expect for the "numbered" sizes in the Edge jerseys, vs the older CCM/Koho styles. http://www.icejerseys.com/sizing_chart.html

VladyIBELIEVE16 257 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 My winter classic authentic is MY Favorite jersey. There is nothing even close to it in my closet and I have several authentics. I felt buyers remorse shortly after hitting the "confirm purchase" button but once it got here... no doubt, I was in love. I didn't/don't want to take it off. I am dreading sending it to sportsk.com to get it customized because I don't want to be without it. Where'd you get this jersey?
