If they draft Rajala, he wouldn't play for two seasons, at least.

There aren't going to be any power forwards available at 29 and a guy like Rajala could be top ten on skill alone but hes small. I don't think its necessary just to draft size, Franzen was drafted on size and hes not physical at all. Kopecky.. same story.

Draft Rajala, get him under a decent training program, have him put on 20lbs and he would be NHL ready.

The skill is there, he broke Ovechkin's world junior's record for a reason.

I am telling you, the Wings have to make a serious offer to get up to #1 or 2 to get Hedman. Our 1st and 2nd, rights to Hudler, include Kronwall and maybe another prospect... Anything short of Z, Dats, Abdelkader and Helm...

These rankings are pretty lopsided. There are only few NA players who have enough skill to be in top-30. Duchene, Ellis... The rest is questionable grit. The only real gritty NA player there is Kassian. Thanks to this we still have top-10 talent in between 30th and 40th slots. Tatar or Rajala for Wings.

the following guys have all the potential to be real stars in NHL

Ekman-Larsson

Leblanc

Tavares

Tatar

Rajala

Svensson-Paajarvi

perhaps few others bot NOT Kane, Schenn, Cowen, Kadri, etc. The rest just does not have enough skill and looks like Shawn Mastthias who was traded out of Wings for a reason.

nothing to do with the fact they're all physical two-way Canadian players I'd imagine eh... butthurt? I'll tell you one thing, Kane, Schenn, and Cowen will all have much, much better careers than Tatar, Rajala, Svensson-Paajarvi
