Not going to cry, but he was our top hitter before being injured the last 2 seasons. Now he's going to be throwing his reckless body into the wings 6 games plus playoffs per season. Don't get me wrong I think he's overpaid but not by much and it's only for 2 years.

Kopecky had exactly 12 goals over 3 seasons (not counting '05-'06 when he only played 1 game). So yeah, he's WAAAAY overpaid for someone who just runs into others and takes penalties more often than not -- 111 PIMs in those three seasons.

Want hits? Play Helm. He had more than most teams combined totals in the playoffs ...

I'd rather have Hossa than Havlat. I wanted Marty to stay, but now that I think about it, we are getting a better player, and someone less injury prone. I understand that Kopecky hit for you guys. That's a plus in my eyes. Huet won me over in game 5, as I have stressed before.

Ain't Huet's fault that we could only muster up one goal. 40+ saves was a great performance. Helm's goal had a little bit of an open net too if I recall.

If not Huet'sa fault, then it must be the D for letting so many shots get to him. . . and I see the Hawks REALLY addressed their D needs during yesterday's frenzy. Good luck with that.

Yeah but I was hoping to have the combined hitting of Helm & Kopecky & someone else. Finding a better hitter would be nice also. Kopecky sure did look like a retard out there sometimes but he had lots of hits. Just look up some youtube videos for the wings. He's in a lot of them, more than I remembered.

He hits, but he takes too many PIMs. He's a liability. Helm can hit without taking a penalty. I find it more interesting to watch how often Datsyuk levels opposing players. For someone listed at 5'11", he packs a punch.
