why the hell do the wings suck on the road?

This might go with what I was going to post. Coming into tonight, the Wings have given up 3 goals each in the 1st and 3rd periods. They had given up 7 in the 2nd. As of now, that is 4 goals in the first and 11 in the 2nd. Long change, and on the road, you are trying to get your match-ups, since you don't have last change.

last change i dont think could amount to three losses in three road games. what ive been noticeing tonight is the defense of ours and that first pass. instead of finding the open man and maybe goin back to your other D man to wait to find someone open we are throwing the puck to center ice where the player it goes to isnt open and we turn it over. Im kinda getting annoyed cause this is the same thing i noticed in Sweden. not to mention that every team has to deal with those issues so why cant we get right!

Part of me wonders if the Swedish road-trip is part of the problem. Anahiem had a similar slump in the start of their 2007-2008 season during, and after, their NHL road-trip to London. The defending Cup champions started their season out 1-4... including getting spanked by the BJs. I remember people asking "What's wrong with the Ducks?" similar to the comments uttered by the Versus guys last evening. I know the Wings are used to three hour time zone swings in their trips out West, but part of me wonders if these week-long good-will tours takes a toll on the teams that go on them.
