Expect Big Changes at the Trade Deadline

Frolov benched tonight for one turnover in a previous game. Hes currently a regular as a third line checker. I expect holland to make a move for this guy and i expect kings to bite.

YES PLEASE. Frolov just oozes talent. I'd kill to have that kid here. Maybe he has an attitude problem, maybe his club is just horribly managed.

I do know that we've played nice and been trading partners with the Kings recently in the Stuart trade, so it's not impossible. Oh, and it helps that the Kings have a history of losing great players for almost nothing :)

TSN: Murray rips Frolov

"I haven't been happy with Fro's game for several games,"

....

"The game the other night is the straw that broke the camel's back, in my opinion. The turnovers, the careless play… It has to be better, and you have to come out with that high level of intensity, with smart work, hard work, and you've got to love the game. You've got to love the game in order to be a player. The talent is there, but it always is the work that brings out talent. And I need more."

....

"There's nothing coming back," Murray told the Kings' Insider. "That's the 10th meeting along those lines, and nothing ever comes back. So, I don't know.''

....

Murray continued by saying this has been an ongoing concern during Frolov's entire seven-year tenure with the Kings and that he was not the first coach to be forced to deal with Frolov's apparent lack of interest.

Really? If that's true, he should be in the OHL. Playing once (and likely limited minutes) every 5 games is brutal for his development.

He had to sit a couple of games because he was having issues getting his Visa. Now that he has it, he is in the lineup.

This.

Franzen is not coming back in four months, and even if he does the Wings will probably try to use that LTIR as long as possible until Franzen is 100%. They aren't going to bring him in if he can't provide his entire salary's worth of a roster spot.

Also there is no way Detroit is getting Kovalchuck. Holland isn't stupid.

pretty much...we all know what the pens gave up for hossa. well, kovy is a better player and would probably demand the following:

flip, leino, tatar and 2010 1st round pick. = no dice.

like you said, holland isn't stupid, and that's pretty much what the thrashers would want for a superstar like kovalchuk.

C'mon Murray, say how you really feel

Wow, 10 meetings with no results. I guess he really does hate playing for LA.

Well, if he's playing crappy in LA and Murray seems to want to play without him, make the deal! Hell if Murray is willing to wait for someone, trade them Hudler's rights for Frolov! :ninja:
