And even that probably won't be until after the 1st of the year so the cap hit is smaller. Other than that I don't see them really doing anything at all this year. topsideplaya 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2009 Anyone who wouldn't want Frolov a proven 30 goal scorer on this team is an idiot. We wouldn't even have to deal Leino or Abby to get him. Frolov would looks very nice on Datsyuk's wing and when Franzen comes back he can play on Zetterberg's. I would offer the Kings only prospects or picks and if they would take Meech or Lebda I'd love them. Franzen-Zetterberg-Cleary Filppula-Datsyuk-Frolov Bertuzzi-Helm-Williams Maltby-Draper-May/Eaves send abby back down to gain more experience and get more ice time. Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted October 23, 2009 Frolov is good but yeah, a third liner/bench warmer of the Kings for a possible future 2nd liner and a young kid with talent that's still getting better? Leino alone for Frolov could maaaaaybe pass (depending on how the two do this year) or Abdelkader and a draft pick, I wouldn't trade away Leino and Abs for him though. You're just being a homer. He scored 30 goals last year and has had a very good career. Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted October 23, 2009 I say we trade Lidstrom, Datsyuk, and Zetty for Malkin and get rid of Osgood, Howard, and Franzen (since he is hurt and all) for Luongo. Then bring up Larsson as backup. Yeah that's it. We are sure to win then. These threads always create some really goofy ideas. Separates the fair weather fans from the real ones, I guess. Yeah, because trading Lidstrom Datsyuk and Z for Malkin is definitely proportional to trading Leino and Abds for Frolov. Lets talk Kopitar, who is finally having the season everyone expected he could...Then I would part with Ville and Abby. Frolov is talented but not at this price. Frolov is talented but not at this price. We couldn't get Kopitar if we sold our entire team. He is almost as untouchable as Ovechkin for that franchise.
