how many ******* goal posts are we going to hit

It may not seem like it right now, but it will turn around eventually and those will start to go in.

Not that it hasn't been said 1,000 times, but Filppula needs some kind of pavlovian response training to shoot the puck. Maybe wire him up to some high voltage and shock him when he holds on to it for too long.

Soooo many giveaways.. Howard's playing good though.

Zetterberg needs to grow his hair, and the goals will come.

You may have been joking when you said that, but the funny thing is I feared this would happen the moment I saw he had cut his hair..

Mainly because (swedish soccer player) Zlatan Ibrahimovic had the lowest-scoring season of his career when he had a shaved head. The moment his hair grew out was the moment he started scoring goals..

Now in Barcelona, his hair is long with Messi

I've counted 3 total legitimate scoring chances. The rest have been pucks right to the belly. Though Canucks are behind in SOG, most of their shots are off of really good scoring chances. Big difference there...

Really need to reorganize and get some better chances. And the defense.....well.....I can smell their stink from here.

He is really lookin bad this year.

I swear Rafalski is still bothered by all those injuries he had in the playoffs last year.

Now in Barcelona, his hair is long with Messi

Messi and Zlatan are unstoppable together. With Xavi and Iniesta in the midfield, Barca are going for the three-peat this year!!!

Lebda looks really, really bad. Was he on the ice for both goals against or just one?

I mean really, really bad.

Howard, again, looks decent but he has virtually no control once the puck hits him. He always falls flat on his ass and looks around as the teams play with the puck. And it's like he's made of rubber, the puck just bounces right off him back 10-20 feet.

But as long as he keeps stopping him I guess I can't complain too loudly.

Haven't read anything here and don't plan to, because mostly it's usually depressing...

However, of course I have my two cents to throw in -

Rafalski needs to go back to passing school. He absolutely drives me nuts.

Speaking of passing, Datsyuk and Zetterberg need to stop with the precious passing attempts that end up right on the Canucks' sticks.

Filpulla needs to SHOOT SOONER and not pass so much.

I feel very bad for the Oz.

I feel very good about how Howard's playing.

Kronwall, sometimes Stuart, and often Bertuzzi are having great games.

And the Wings ARE playing better and with more aggression and chutzpah.

May they keep it up till the end of the game.

Peace out.

I believe he wasn't on the ice for either...that doesn't mean he hasn't looked bad though...I have a topic in the General Discussion about trying to replace him with Kindl...

Lebda is missing his man all over the ice...one time it caused him to puch net off and take DOG penalty...another time it caused a HUGE scoring chance...he just has been out of position all night long...

The D's problems are mainly Rafi and Lebda. They need to reread the section on "No More F**king Turnovers" in the Defensemen manual. I cringe every time the step on the ice.

And is it wrong that I cheered when Lebda got knocked on his ass along the boards in the 2nd?

I am gonna have to hope this 3rd period will be the time when Bert and Someone on the top line who isnt named Holmstrom will finally be finding the back of the net.

Wouldn't that be nice. I'd love for Bert to finally hit one, or even Leino to get out of his slump and gain some confidence. How about Leino with the tying goal and Bert with the winner!!

This team needs some breaks to go their way in this period. C'mon hockey god's how about letting ours go in off the post this period. It would be nice for Howard to get the win out of this one.
