BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted November 3, 2009 (edited) So far this season, we have seen many players contributing that have never really contributed THAT much before in their own rights. Not to say the following players aren't good, it's just a fluke... But no matter how good they're doing now, there will be downfalls. Now I'm going to name off players that are doing great now... Anze Kopitar (He's great, but best in the league great?) Dustin Penner Vinny Prospal James Neal Craig Anderson Brooks Laich Wojtek Wolski Rich Peverly Alex Goligoski Jonathan Quick Jonathan Ericsson (Threw him in there for Red Wing content. This thread won't get any contribution without the mention of at least one Wing) These are players that are playing far beyond expectations... But which ones will remain consistent and which ones will hit a downfall? Edited November 3, 2009 by BeeRYCE
Rivalred 630 Report post Posted November 3, 2009 I cringed when Prospal signed with NY as I thought he would of ended up here.

I hope Anderson was just playing over his head but he has been exciting to watch.

He may have as many goals as Zetterberg and Datsyuk combined but that -3 on a .500 team makes it irrelevant. I mean aside from the both 2nd pairing d-men and his 3rd pairing partner, his +/- is the worst among our d-men! I can't believe our rookie d-man doesn't have Norris Nick's +/-! He's like totally leading the d in turnovers... wait, he's not even close. But he does make rookie mistakes, which are so rare on this team right now. Wait, their frighteningly common for everyone on the team.

henrik40 76 Report post Posted November 3, 2009 I think you could throw Homer in there for a Red Wing off to a quick start. 7 goals in 12 games? I didn't think he'd score more than 7 all season, he's proven me wrong. I think Kopitar is going to end up finishing with a monster season, that kid is awesome.
