Sweet Goals

That goal reminds me of some of the stuff he did with Sarnia. Friggin Barry Melrose screwed him over last year by putting him on the 4th line, he could have been in the calder running for sure.

That play was number one on ESPN's Top Ten plays. I don't know what was more surpring, the way he scored or the fact that ESPN covered hockey

People considered him a bust because of last season. Nah, expect increasingly better seasons for the next few years... He'll get a couple 50, maybe 60 goal seasons, watch.

Sometimes I'm really upset with you guys overseas. Do you really think this is a good goal? That's just a pure luck...

Certainly there's a lot of luck involved, but you don't see George Parros scoring goals like that, so it lso takes a lot of skill.

It's the fact that he had the presence of mind to do that in a last second attempt. The desperation and determination to capitalize on a missed opportunity. It's not like he figured "oh, I'm just going to fall and bat it in to make highlight reels." No... It's all about presence of mind, and that's what separates the average players from the great players. Luck? Is it a coincidence that the first overall pick did this, or what Tavares did last year in the World Juniors, or what Ovechkin did against Phoenix? Presence of mind and hockey sense.
